Mic set up near the pan while scrambled eggs were cooking. Loopable, this file is 2x. That quarantine mood when you're locked in your house and then ask your housemate, "hey this might sound weird, but can i record you cooking? the sound makes me happy". I dont have a nice mic bc i had to pack up so fast but i have my at2020 which is better than nothing.

Started with me playing with doepfer a-146-2 as gate delay. Went on using it as a wave shaper. Went on and on. . . It's not a very big patch. But the outcome is nice. It's a mix of chaos and random. Yes i'm using jerk off and sloth. Analog modular synth fun.

Sound through a vent while contractors did demolition on the bathroom upstairs. Has a nice "eavesdropping" quality, a vibe like you're hearing the work from another area. Lots of hammering and debris of all sizes falling on the ground, include some good thuds. Recorded on a tascam-dr-40 and cleaned up in audacity. Production-now. Com - shout-outs welcome.

My recording "fizzy water" is much better than this version. Please use it, not this one. I made a video recording of a glass of carbonated water in a tall glass, using an ipad. Then i played it back and recorded it using a zoom h2 stereo recorder. So it got processed through the different media. It produces a nice fizzy sound that some people will find useful.

Decided to call this sound "electronic modular rhythm" since i found only one other spot on the net with that combination of words. Probably is there some sort of mistake to write like that, but now we are two to make that mistake. This is straight out of the modular. No processing but amplification. Please find a part that loops nice in your ears.

Recorded the sounds with a zoom h1n in my apartment. Snare is a flick with my fingers on a wooden door + added snarebuzz in post production to it, kick is a hit with my hand on the wall produced some nice lows. I had to create an another track for just the transient, but essentially made from the same sound. Hihat is the stove's clicking sound with added reverb. Post production made in ableton live lite with mostly the integrated audio effects, but i also used some free plugins to create this drum loop. I hope you enjoy, it's 100% royalty-free.

I found two melodies in gis_sweden's excellent "you deserve it - friday randomness ii"http://freesound. Org/people/gis_sweden/sounds/362508/. And quantized them into a 92 bpm 4/4 thing. Each melody is presented panned, with and without a beat, then simultaneously. It's sort of an accidental counterpoint. I also messed up his nice analog sound into some harsh digital junk. There's a lot of high frequency energy here so watch it, and apologies to mr. Fletcher, mr. Munson and their daughter, curve.

Closing a metal gate and locking it. At the beginning you can hear a bicycle spin, which was incidental but sounds like it's some part of a mechanism of the gate. Nice!. Recorded with zoom h2. I believe i recorded these with a sound devices 702 and a neumann rsm 191 stereo shotgun. They are long car bys on a quiet road. Lots of distance to my left and right so you get some nice long singular car bys. Maybe one or two instances with a multi car pass. The roads were wet when this recording was done.

Many find the sound of a prop-plane flying lazily very peaceful --- especially if it is a late summer day against a blue sky on the edge of a forest. Even though i was actually on an outing to record the birds of the deep forest in summer, this plane came right overhead and, well, here it is. The ocassional soft chirp of the birds adds a nice touch. Recorded with my zoom h4n recorder with the internal microphones set on an input volume of 75.

Needed a really good bar drop for a film we where doing. This is a nice combo of a dead iron bar drop to a sawdust and straw wood floor with the addition of a metal bar dropped on wood. A little drop of a light bulb to finish the sound off. One drop not repeated. Created by paul villeneuve and dominic kaiser / stories by the river.

Warning! loud noise! this sound is not intended to listen to, but to do technical measurements!. This is a test recording i made to measure my headphone's frequency response. It plays a nice "left" and "right" to determine the channels. Then it plays back white noise first in both channels, then one at a time. Then the same with sine sweeps. Then short impulses.

This track is perfect for a film trailer which hits several "reveals" within it. It was originally recorded on a zoom h2 of a glass bottle being hit while suspended in the air. After some modifications, you have this track, ready for your next film trailer. Like all my sounds, you don't need to mention me as the creator, but if you make a million from it, an open bar at any parties you hold would be nice. (-=.

I did some swishes myself using a spiral hose; i needed them for specific situations in video editing and the bamboo swishes i found here on freesound were too fast and strong. The flexible spiral hose made for some nice and slower swishes; some of the 16 sounds build up a little, some are very fast and strong, some soft and gentle. A whole pack for you to use. Recorded with a tascam dr-05 stereo (the movement always went from left to right); a little noise reduction in audacity.

Some sounds of blowing across the top of a glass bottle. Specifically a 33cl cider bottle. :-). Captured using a rode nt5 small-diaphragm condenser microphone and a zoom h5 recorder. Basic editing in ocenaudio, also applied some slight de-reverberation. I intend to record a proper version later on, including different articulations at various pitches. But that may take a while. In the meanwhile these samples might be useful for some sound design. One more thing. It's always nice to hear back from you. What projects did you use these sounds for?please let me know. ;-).

Recorded with a portable alesis digital recorder then widened and lightly manipulated in daw. This is actual foley of a stream recorded at close range. Public domain, do with as you please. If you use i'd love to see how you used it. Works great as a nice environmental sound for film work if laid softly in the background, if it's called for that is.

Northwest wind gusts through a forest of oak and beech and pine trees. Recorded on saturday july 21st, 2018 at 3:30pm in a midwestern forest. Although there are a lot of birds in the forests at this time of year, they were quiet today. A nice, peaceful, soothing snapshot of summer----recorded just 4 weeks after the solstice here in the northern hemishpere. Temp: 84 degrees fhumidity: 51%. Recorder: sound devices 702microphone: sennheiser mkh-416.

I don't have a modular system to speak of but after watching some of divkids videos i realised my xiao could sound really nice in an ambient eurorack setup. Anyway, here's a few improv sections on my flute, only been playing 4 weeks so pardon the few bum notes. Make of it what you will but would love to hear what people come up with. Concertina loops on the way after it's been serviced.

A soft and subtle, unedited sound recording from my studio in leeds. On the top floor of my terraced house, i have a large window that opens out onto a quiet street in north leeds. A school is nearby, so there are some elements of children screaming, but overall you get a nice wash of bird song, quiet car sounds and mild wind. This recording would be excellent for atmospheric sound for film, tv or whatever else. Feel free to use this sample and contact me if you want some extended recordings as i'm planning on recording a few more field studies from my area, which is lovely and removed from the main city.

A synthetic bass multisample. I created it using the virsyn cube additive synthesizer (vsti). I applied some eq using the sonalksis sv-517 equalizer plugin. The sound was compressed by the sonalksis sv-315 and nomad factory blue tubes cp2s compressor plugins. All great quality plugs. The sound is a nice but rather static emulation of a bass guitar. Use your sampler's velocity and pitch bending options to bring this multisample to life. All samples in a 24 bit, 44. 1 khz resolution. Loop points were added for sustained notes.

I captured this sound on my canon powershot a460 digital camera. It was a horrible night, with strong winds and heavy rain. I went to my garden shed and positioned my camera at the small window inside my shed as there is a small hole in the right hand corner of the window, and through this small hole the wind blows through it making this whistle sound, almost like a flute. This sound of mine is for anyone to use, no credit needed, but it would be nice if you could tell me what your going to use it for, if possible, that would be fun. :) http://creativecommons. A recording made on saturday march 30th 2019 right beside a creek at giant city state park in illinois. The beautiful, pleasant sound of the creek dropping over a small sandstone rock provides a nice background to the very "happy-to-be-here" louisiana waterthrush. The birds have returned, and spring is on its way. . . The annual re-birth in the forests of southern illinois. Equipment used:zoom f4 field recordersennheiser mkh-416 shotgun microphone.

This is a recording i got sat outside a retro clothes shop on portobello road in london. Distant music combined with the market and people walking past creates a busy scene with the busy road that runs over the top of the market giving a nice base to fill out the recording. This recording is inspired by alienxxx http://freesound. Org/people/alienxxx/sounds/345510/made a little patch on my modular, still missing its (main) oscillators. I let the patch sound thru a pair of cheap computer speakers that i use as monitors. In an adjacent room, close to an open window, i put my phone and record. This is the unedited outcome. The recording was made 09:00 (16-05-11). Unfortunately nothing happened outside the window. Even the birds was quiet. I think there is a hint of feedback in the sound? first i planned to record with an old tape recorder, but i couldnโ€™t find it. . . I think this recording should be listened to with low volume. May by it was a mistake to amplify the sound in audacity? but i think there is a nice room ambiance to the recording. Ideas for next time. Use guitar amp. Find old tape recorder. Donโ€™t put recording device to close to window.

I was just messing around with audacity again, this time slowing down my recording like a tape record, which not only stretched the time, but also turned down the frequency range which resulted in pitch shift. I stumbled around a sound that sounded like a huge horn exhaust - like those war pipes from celtics. So i experimented a little bit and made this one. Original recording was mono (but recorded to stereo track), however i added a reverb effect which created a nice stereo reverb effect. Feel free to use in games :).

Just some recording of a dried, brittle chili pepper with little seeds inside - up way way close to the mic (a zoom h2n). Some suggested sound design use cases: run this through granular fx for a nice drone texture. Use as an impulse response for a convolution reverb (then run tones through the convolution). Use as a trigger in vcv rack, allowing it's peaks to fire off samples or synth pulses. Or just use it plain within your next experimental acousmatic piece hit single.
